China: Stocks extend gain on growth optimism

Mainland China share market advanced for third consecutive day on Wednesday, 02 July 2014, as investors were encouraged by surveys showing China's manufacturing activity improved in June for the first time in six months after the government steps up policy support. The benchmark Shanghai Composite closed 0.44% higher from prior day to 2059.42. Trading turnover increased to 89.30 billion yuan from yesterday's 83.5 billion yuan.
