Coal India announces production and offtake performance for July 2018

Coal India announced the production and offtake performance of the company and its subsidiaries for the month July 2018 and for April 2018-July 2018 as under -

For the month of July 2018, coal production stood at 40.56 million tonnes compared to 36.69 million tonnes in July 2017, recording a growth of 10.6%.

For the period April 2018-July 2018, coal production stood at 177.43 million tonnes compared to 155.53 million tonnes in corresponding period of previous year, recording growth of 14.1%.

Coal offtake was higher by 8.9% in July 2018 at 48.25 million tonnes compared to 44.29 million tonnes in July 2017. For the period April 2018-July 2018, coal offtake rose 11% to 201.68 million tonnes compared to 181.71 million tonnes in corresponding period of previous year.
