Consumer Durables shares tank

Consumer Durables stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index falling 1225.06 points or 4.69% at 24901.19 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Titan Company Ltd (down 9.39%), Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (down 2.32%),V I P Industries Ltd (down 1.09%),TTK Prestige Ltd (down 0.94%),Whirlpool of India Ltd (down 0.81%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Symphony Ltd (down 0.78%), and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (down 0.1%).

On the other hand, Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 0.92%), Blue Star Ltd (up 0.37%), and Voltas Ltd (up 0.07%) moved up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 275.94 or 0.69% at 40524.17.

The Nifty 50 index was up 69.35 points or 0.58% at 11986.55.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 11.49 points or 0.08% at 13510.55.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 11.07 points or 0.24% at 4657.27.

On BSE,1169 shares were trading in green, 1159 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
