Consumer Durables stocks slip
Consumer Durables stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index decreasing 467.57 points or 1.8% at 25527.99 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Titan Company Ltd (up 3.17%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 2.15%), Voltas Ltd (up 1.72%), Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 0.67%), TTK Prestige Ltd (up 0.29%), and V I P Industries Ltd (up 0.03%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Symphony Ltd (up 1.5%), Bajaj Electricals Ltd (up 0.88%), and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (up 0.66%) turned up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 374.88 or 0.98% at 37731.99.
The Nifty 50 index was down 104.65 points or 0.92% at 11209.35.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 48.37 points or 0.37% at 12861.81.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 24.59 points or 0.57% at 4323.98.
On BSE,960 shares were trading in green, 1581 were trading in red and 216 were unchanged.
