Inflow of Rs 638.90 crore on 16 April 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 638.90 crore on Tuesday, 16 April 2013, compared with net outflow of Rs 337.50 crore on Monday, 15 April 2013.
The net inflow of Rs 638.90 crore on Tuesday, 16 April 2013, was a result of gross purchases Rs 3089.40 crore and gross sales Rs 2450.40 crore. There was a net inflow of Rs 633.80 crore into the secondary equity markets on Tuesday, 16 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 3083.70 crore and gross sales Rs 2449.80 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 387.13 points or 2.11% to settle at 18,744.93 on that day, its highest closing level since 3 April 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 5.10 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 16 April 2013, which was a result of gross purchases Rs 5.70 crore and gross sales Rs 0.60 crore.
FIIs have bought shares worth Rs 352.60 crore in April 2013 so far (till 16 April 2013). FIIs had purchased shares worth Rs 9124.30 crore in March 2013.
