Net outflow of Rs 562.40 crore on 18 June 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 562.40 crore on Tuesday, 18 June 2013, higher than outflow of Rs 103.80 crore on Monday, 17 June 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 562.40 crore on Tuesday, 18 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1789.30 crore and gross sales of Rs 2351.70 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 546.50 crore from the secondary equity markets on 18 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 1787.10 crore and gross sales of Rs 2333.60 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 102.59 points or 0.53% to settle at 19,223.28 on that day, its lowest closing level since 14 June 2013.
There was a net outflow of Rs 15.90 crore from the category 'primary market others' on Tuesday, 18 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 2.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 18.10 crore.
FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 2433.70 crore in June 2013 so far (till 18 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.
