Net outflow of Rs 842.80 crore on 27 June 2013
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth net Rs 842.80 crore on Thursday, 27 June 2013, higher than outflow of Rs 561.60 crore on Wednesday, 26 June 2013.
The net outflow of Rs 842.80 crore on Thursday, 27 June 2013, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5110.50 crore and gross sales of Rs 5953.20 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 842.90 crore from the secondary equity markets on 27 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5110.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 5953.10 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had jumped 323.83 points or 1.75% to settle at 18,875.95 on that day, its highest closing level since 19 June 2013.
There was a net inflow of Rs 0.20 crore into the category 'primary market others' on Thursday, 27 June 2013, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.20 crore and gross sales of Rs 0.10 crore.
FIIs have sold shares worth Rs 11026.90 crore in June 2013 so far (till 27 June 2013). FIIs bought shares worth Rs 22168.60 crore in May 2013.
