Financials shares gain
Financials stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Finance index rising 170.4 points or 4.03% at 4398.45 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, IndusInd Bank Ltd (up 19.99%), Bandhan Bank Ltd (up 14.97%),ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd (up 11.16%),ICICI Securities Ltd (up 9.99%),ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd (up 9.99%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were JM Financial Ltd (up 9.95%), Shriram Transport Finance Company Ltd (up 9.51%), Aditya Birla Capital Ltd (up 8.84%), Max Financial Services Ltd (up 8.66%), and Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd (up 8.34%).
On the other hand, Reliance Home Finance Ltd (down 5%), Religare Enterprises Ltd (down 5%), and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (down 4.95%) moved lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 801.11 or 2.81% at 29336.89.
The Nifty 50 index was up 167.1 points or 2.01% at 8484.95.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 90.43 points or 2.71% at 3426.59.
On BSE,986 shares were trading in green, 356 were trading in red and 81 were unchanged.
