Financials shares soften

Financials stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Finance index falling 41.81 points or 0.96% at 4311.77 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Equitas Holdings Ltd (down 6.17%), Satin Creditcare Network Ltd (down 4.99%),Bank of Baroda (down 3.48%),Federal Bank Ltd (down 3.3%),LIC Housing Finance Ltd (down 3.1%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Axis Bank Ltd (down 3.04%), Bandhan Bank Ltd (down 2.95%), South Indian Bank Ltd (down 2.92%), GIC Housing Finance Ltd (down 2.85%), and Centrum Capital Ltd (down 2.76%).

On the other hand, Capri Global Capital Ltd (up 6.41%), Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd (up 4.78%), and Reliance Home Finance Ltd (up 4.42%) moved up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 138.8 or 0.45% at 30984.09.

The Nifty 50 index was down 25.1 points or 0.27% at 9117.65.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 25.71 points or 0.24% at 10680.77.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 6.82 points or 0.18% at 3793.3.

On BSE,927 shares were trading in green, 1153 were trading in red and 161 were unchanged.
