FMCG shares ease

FMCG stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index falling 218.4 points or 1.98% at 10785.65 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Radico Khaitan Ltd (down 4.44%), ITC Ltd (down 4.23%),Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (down 3.75%),DFM Foods Ltd (down 3.74%),Parag Milk Foods Ltd (down 3.29%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (down 3.08%), VST Industries Ltd (down 3.03%), Emami Ltd (down 3.03%), S H Kelkar & Company Ltd (down 2.64%), and Hindustan Unilever Ltd (down 2.25%).

On the other hand, Waterbase Ltd (up 9.18%), Apex Frozen Foods Ltd (up 8.09%), and Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd (up 5.85%) moved up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 133.27 or 0.42% at 31721.99.

The Nifty 50 index was up 27 points or 0.29% at 9293.75.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 129.75 points or 1.2% at 10930.66.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 39.71 points or 1.05% at 3836.46.

On BSE,1435 shares were trading in green, 892 were trading in red and 185 were unchanged.
