FMCG stocks rise

FMCG stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index increasing 309.82 points or 3.46% at 9264.73 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, CCL Products (India) Ltd (up 7.08%), Prataap Snacks Ltd (up 6.78%),Emami Ltd (up 6.49%),ITC Ltd (up 6.33%),Nath Bio-Genes (India) Ltd (up 4.43%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were DFM Foods Ltd (up 4.1%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd (up 4.08%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd (up 3.98%), GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare Ltd (up 3.93%), and Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (up 3.87%).
On the other hand, Heritage Foods Ltd (down 9.85%), S H Kelkar & Company Ltd (down 9.12%), and Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (down 5.11%) turned lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 47.31 or 0.17% at 28240.92.
The Nifty 50 index was down 9.75 points or 0.12% at 8253.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 3.83 points or 0.04% at 9725.73.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 2.31 points or 0.07% at 3480.09.
On BSE,811 shares were trading in green, 722 were trading in red and 71 were unchanged.
