FMCG shares gain

FMCG stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index rising 101.68 points or 1.17% at 8773.86 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (up 5.59%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (up 4.01%),GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare Ltd (up 3.62%),VST Industries Ltd (up 3.28%),Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd (up 2.61%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Dabur India Ltd (up 2.37%), Britannia Industries Ltd (up 2.36%), EID Parry (India) Ltd (up 1.82%), Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (up 1.72%), and Tata Coffee Ltd (up 1.45%).
On the other hand, Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd (down 10%), Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd (down 9.98%), and Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (down 9.98%) moved lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 48.77 or 0.19% at 25932.47.
The Nifty 50 index was up 57.55 points or 0.76% at 7667.8.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 25.62 points or 0.81% at 3145.24.
On BSE,560 shares were trading in green, 769 were trading in red and 81 were unchanged.
