Energy stocks edge higher
Energy stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Energy index increasing 32.68 points or 1.08% at 3063.18 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Energy index, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (up 5.9%), Castrol India Ltd (up 2.99%), Reliance Industries Ltd (up 2.8%), Aban Offshore Ltd (up 2.19%), and Coal India Ltd (up 1.25%), were the top gainers.
On the other hand, Petronet LNG Ltd (down 7.27%), Adani Gas Ltd (down 7.13%), and Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd (down 6.65%) turned lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 48.77 or 0.19% at 25932.47.
The Nifty 50 index was up 57.55 points or 0.76% at 7667.8.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 137.82 points or 1.55% at 8735.01.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 25.62 points or 0.81% at 3145.24.
On BSE,560 shares were trading in green, 769 were trading in red and 81 were unchanged.
