FMCG stocks gain

FMCG stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index increasing 92.74 points or 0.78% at 11947.73 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd (up 5.69%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd (up 5.57%),Coastal Corporation Ltd (up 4.98%),Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (up 4.46%),Avanti Feeds Ltd (up 4.28%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd (up 4.14%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (up 3.9%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd (up 3.15%), Sanwaria Consumer Ltd (up 2.82%), and Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd (up 2.29%).

 

On the other hand, Mcleod Russel India Ltd (down 1.62%), Som Distilleries & Breweries Ltd (down 0.74%), and Future Consumer Ltd (down 0.61%) turned lower.

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 157.86 or 0.38% at 42030.59.

The Nifty 50 index was up 34.95 points or 0.28% at 12378.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 102.37 points or 0.7% at 14636.23.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 27.66 points or 0.56% at 5004.75.

On BSE,1054 shares were trading in green, 378 were trading in red and 62 were unchanged.
