Net outflow of Rs 51.11 crore on 11 June 2014

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 51.11 crore on Wednesday, 11 June 2014, compared with inflow of Rs 771.77 crore on Tuesday, 10 June 2014.

The net outflow of Rs 51.11 crore on Wednesday, 11 June 2014, was a result of gross purchases of Rs 5062.43 crore and gross sales of Rs 5113.54 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 267.01 crore from the secondary equity market on 11 June 2014, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 4846.53 crore and gross sales of Rs 5113.54 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had lost 109.80 points or 0.43% to settle at 25,473.89 on that day, its lowest closing level since 6 June 2014.

 

There was a net inflow of Rs 215.90 crore into the category 'primary market & others' on 11 June 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 10358.78 crore in this month so far (till 11 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth Rs 14006.15 crore in May 2014.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 56163.10 crore in this calendar year so far (till 11 June 2014). FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 113135.90 crore in 2013 calendar year.
