Outflow of Rs 631.08 crore on 11 August 2015

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 631.08 crore yesterday, 11 August 2015, as against net inflow of Rs 69.05 crore on Monday, 10 August 2015.

There was a net outflow of Rs 631.08 crore from the equity market on 11 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3544.23 crore and gross sales of Rs 4175.31 crore. There was a net outflow of Rs 634.99 crore from the secondary equity market on 11 August 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3540.32 crore and gross sales of Rs 4175.31 crore. The S&P BSE Sensex had declined 235.63 points or 0.84% to settle at 27,866.09 on that day, its lowest closing level since 30 July 2015.

 

There was an inflow of Rs 3.91 crore into the category 'primary markets & others' on 11 August 2015.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 1110.28 crore in August 2015 so far (till 11 August 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 986.56 crore from the secondary equity markets in August 2015 so far (till 11 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 5318.99 crore last month. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 1865.19 crore from the secondary equity markets last month.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 45509.70 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 11 August 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 29197.40 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 11 August 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
