Healthcare shares edge higher

Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 24.26 points or 0.19% at 12856.12 at 09:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Aarti Drugs Ltd (up 5.16%), Medicamen Biotech Ltd (up 4.06%),Nectar Lifescience Ltd (up 2.35%),Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd (up 2.34%),Laurus Labs Ltd (up 2.21%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Syngene International Ltd (up 2.16%), DIL Ltd (up 1.93%), Astrazeneca Pharma India Ltd (up 1.78%), Unichem Laboratories Ltd (up 1.67%), and Abbott India Ltd (up 1.55%).

On the other hand, Vimta Labs Ltd (down 2.81%), Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd (down 2.57%), and Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (down 2.14%) moved lower.

 

At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 1.76 or 0% at 38965.6.

The Nifty 50 index was up 0.5 points or 0% at 11588.85.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 13.3 points or 0.1% at 13203.67.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 2.4 points or 0.05% at 4505.66.

On BSE,721 shares were trading in green, 651 were trading in red and 57 were unchanged.
