Hong Kong Stocks end down

Hong Kong share market closed session down on Wednesday, 23 May 2018, as concerns about the historic US-North Korean summit dented risk sentiments, with oil and gas sectors being notable losers, as Beijing intervened to cool the red-hot coal market. The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 1.82 per cent to 30,665.64, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index dropped 2.1 per cent to a five-day low of 12,090.79. . Turnover increased to HK$115.4 billion from HK$95.9 billion on Monday. Hong Kong stock exchange reopened on Wednesday after a public holiday to mark the Buddha's Birthday on Tuesday.
