Hong Kong Stocks end higher

The Hong Kong stock market closed higher on Thursday, 12 October 2017, fuelled by tracking the global rally in equities and led higher by financial firms, which tracked gains in mainland peers and helped mitigate losses in energy shares. The Hang Seng Index finished the day at 28,459.03, up 0.24% or 69 points. The Hang Seng China Enterprises index rose 0.78%, or 88 points, to 11,500.34. Turnover decreased to HK$90.6 billion from HK$112.3 billion on Wednesday.
