Industrials shares gain
Industrials stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Industrials index rising 38.26 points or 1.27% at 3052.57 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd (up 7.25%), H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd (up 5.19%),Nila Infrastructures Ltd (up 4.86%),Sanghvi Movers Ltd (up 4.6%),SpiceJet Ltd (up 3.58%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 3.35%), Surya Roshni Ltd (up 3.01%), Sintex Plastics Technology Ltd (up 2.7%), GMR Infrastructure Ltd (up 2.61%), and MSTC Ltd (up 2.22%).
On the other hand, Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd (down 6.1%), Reliance Naval & Engineering Ltd (down 4.69%), and Mercator Ltd (down 4.11%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 252.79 or 0.61% at 41368.17.
The Nifty 50 index was up 57.25 points or 0.47% at 12164.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 67.22 points or 0.46% at 14700.38.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 30.35 points or 0.61% at 5035.06.
On BSE,937 shares were trading in green, 446 were trading in red and 56 were unchanged.
