Japan Stocks down on weak Wall Street cues

The Japan share market finished down on Thursday, 24 August 2017, as investors risk sentiments was dampened by Wall Street's fall overnight amid growing uncertainties over U.S. politics after yet another controversial remark by President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, sentiments were also weak on yen firmed against the dollar and on caution before key meeting of the world's top central bankers later tomorrow. At the close, the Nikkei fell 80.87 points, or 0.42%, to 19,353.77. The Topix lost 7.85 points, or 0.49%, to close at 1,592.20.
