MEP Infrastructure Developers secures toll tax and ECC collection contract for Delhi

MEP Infrastructure Developers ('MEP') has been awarded by the Office of the Director Local Bodies (Toll Tax Department) the "Letter of Award" dated 28 September 2017, to engage MEP as the contractor for SDMC (Lead Corporation acting on behalf of all the three Corporations of Delhi) for collection of Toll Tax & Environment Compensation Charge (ECC) at Border Points from Specified Commercial Vehicles entering Delhi ('Project').MEP has executed a Contract Agreement on 28 September 2017. The Commercial Operations will commence from 1 October 2017 (06:00 hours) for a period of 5 years.
Key highlights of the Project are as under: (i)Toll & Environment Compensation Charge (ECC) collection rights at all entry points to Delhi.(ii) Period of Contract: 5 (Five) years. (iii) The contractual amount for the said Project is Rs.1,206.00 crore per annum payable to SDMC on a weekly basis.
