National Aluminium Company fell 2.28% to Rs 36.40 at 15:21 IST on BSE on profit booking after the stock rose 13.91% in the preceding seven trading sessions to Rs 37.25 yesterday, 15 September 2015, from a recent low of Rs 32.70 on 4 September 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 241.58 points, or 0.94%, to 25,947.51.
On BSE, so far 3.49 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 3.13 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
The stock hit a high of Rs 37.90 and a low of Rs 36.20 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 68.80 on 19 September 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 28 on 25 August 2015.
National Aluminium Company (Nalco)'s net profit fell 39.68% to Rs 163.44 crore on 13.27% fall in total income to Rs 1622.03 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.
Nalco is a Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The company has integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power. Presently, Government of India holds 80.93% equity of Nalco.
