The Japan share market finished session lower on Tuesday, 18 July 2017, as investor sentiment was dented by the yen's appreciation against the U.S. dollar. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 118.95 points, or 0.59%, from Friday at 19,999.91, the lowest close since July 7. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 5.00 points, or 0.31%, lower at 1,620.48. Japan markets were closed for Marine Day on Monday, 17 July 2017.
