More than 22,288 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have registered themselves to take up Zero Defect, Zero Effect (ZED) manufacturing under ZED scheme, according to Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The Quality Council of India (QCI) have organized Industry Awareness Programme, training for Enterprise Capacity Building, training of officials of implementing agencies, Consultants/Assessors/Master Trainers' training. Online Self-Assessments, Desktop Assessments and Site Assessments have carried out and ZED ratings have been awarded as provided for under scheme guidelines.
