Pharma shares correct on profit selling

The Nifty Pharma index declined 2.03% to 7,030.75, snapping its six-day winning streak due to profit booking.

The Nifty Pharma index surged 11.57% in the previous six trading sessions to 7176.50 on Tuesday (31 March) from its recent closing low of 6432.30 hit on 23 March 2020.

Divi's Lab (down 5.71%), Aurobindo Pharma (down 5.37%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 2.64%), Cipla (down 2.49%), Lupin (down 1.76%), Cadila Healthcare (down 1.35%), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 1.19%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (down 0.84%) and Piramal Enterprises (down 0.69%) were top losers in pharmaceutical space.

Meanwhile, the Nifty 50 index fell 338 points or 3.93% at 8,259.75.
