Quick Wrap: Nifty Energy Index declines 1.48%

Nifty Energy index ended down 1.48% at 24727.2 today. The index is down 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Adani Green Energy Ltd shed 8.28%, Reliance Industries Ltd slipped 1.77% and GAIL (India) Ltd fell 1.08%. The Nifty Energy index is up 26.00% over last one year compared to the 0.98% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index added 1.38% and Nifty Services Sector index has dropped 1.05% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.57% to close at 15966.65 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.69% to close at 53514.15 today.
