Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index gains 1.76%

Nifty IT index closed up 1.76% at 14999.9 today. The index has gained 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Infibeam Avenues Ltd added 5.43%, Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd jumped 3.81% and Infosys Ltd gained 2.22%. The Nifty IT index has soared 35.00% over last one year compared to the 7.32% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 1.34% and Nifty PSE index gained 0.81% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.13% to close at 10869.5 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.29% to close at 36134.31 today.
