Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 4.07%, NIFTY Crashes 1.94%

Nifty Media index closed down 4.07% at 2081.35 today. The index has gained 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd dropped 5.83%, Inox Leisure Ltd shed 5.22% and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd fell 4.58%. The Nifty Media index has soared 9.00% over last one year compared to the 0.56% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has dropped 3.72% and Nifty IT index has dropped 3.71% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.94% to close at 17530.85 while the SENSEX has slid 1.82% to close at 58840.79 today.
