Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index falls 4.32%

Nifty Media index closed down 4.32% at 1722.15 today. The index has slipped 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd dropped 12.18%, Dish TV India Ltd shed 10.19% and Zee Media Corporation Ltd fell 5.38%. The Nifty Media index has fallen 31.00% over last one year compared to the 3.19% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index has dropped 4.12% and Nifty PSU Bank index is down 3.78% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.00% to close at 11359.9 while the SENSEX has slid 0.94% to close at 38305.41 today.
