Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index falls 2.24%

Nifty Pharma index ended down 2.24% at 7787.4 today. The index has gained 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd shed 4.20%, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd dropped 2.67% and Lupin Ltd fell 2.54%. The Nifty Pharma index has fallen 18.00% over last one year compared to the 12.36% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has dropped 2.16% and Nifty PSU Bank index has dropped 1.89% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.86% to close at 11908.15 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.81% to close at 40323.61 today.
