Nifty Private Bank index ended down 0.88% at 15527.3 today. The index is up 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, South Indian Bank Ltd gained 2.92%, IndusInd Bank Ltd shed 2.24% and IDFC Bank Ltd rose 1.51%. The Nifty Private Bank index is up 9.00% over last one year compared to the 1.78% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Bank index is down 0.69% and Nifty Financial Services index is down 0.56% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 0.31% to close at 10821.6 while the SENSEX is down 0.29% to close at 36106.5 today.
