Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 2.96%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 2.96% at 2145.65 today. The index is down 12.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Bank of Baroda slipped 4.80%, Punjab National Bank dropped 4.15% and Indian Bank fell 3.53%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 20.00% over last one year compared to the 12.32% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index is down 1.99% and Nifty Energy index has dropped 1.54% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.56% to close at 12045.8 while the SENSEX is down 0.49% to close at 41055.69 today.
