Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 4.88%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 4.88% at 2709.45 today. The index is down 15.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indian Bank slipped 11.85%, Bank of India dropped 6.47% and Bank of Baroda shed 5.83%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 16.00% over last one year compared to the 2.07% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index is down 3.25% and Nifty Media index has dropped 2.27% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.93% to close at 11085.4 while the SENSEX is down 0.77% to close at 37397.24 today.
