Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 1.34%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 1.34% at 2536.4 today. The index has slipped 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indian Bank shed 2.37%, Syndicate Bank dropped 1.85% and Canara Bank fell 1.76%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 16.00% over last one year compared to the 14.03% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index gained 0.86% and Nifty Energy index has slid 0.68% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.07% to close at 12262.75 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.09% to close at 41642.66 today.
