Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 1.44%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 1.44% at 2484.1 today. The index has gained 16.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Punjab National Bank dropped 3.58%, Bank of Baroda slipped 3.27% and Central Bank of India fell 2.82%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 16.00% over last one year compared to the 13.34% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index gained 0.97% and Nifty Realty index added 0.88% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.38% to close at 12012.05 while the SENSEX increased 0.45% to close at 40653.74 today.
