Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index gains 2.51%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 2.51% at 2550.8 today. The index has slipped 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Oriental Bank of Commerce added 8.16%, Indian Bank gained 4.90% and Allahabad Bank jumped 4.43%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 22.00% over last one year compared to the 5.02% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index gained 2.09% and Nifty PSE index added 1.94% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.43% to close at 11105.35 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.39% to close at 37641.27 today.
