Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index gains 4.03%

Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 4.03% at 2570.7 today. The index has gained 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Union Bank of India added 6.81%, Punjab National Bank gained 6.00% and Oriental Bank of Commerce jumped 5.92%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 13.00% over last one year compared to the 12.00% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index gained 2.26% and Nifty Realty index added 1.68% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.96% to close at 12086.7 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 1.05% to close at 41009.71 today.
