Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index records a surge of 1.00%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 1.00% at 2168.95 today. The index has lost 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd rose 4.72%, State Bank of India added 2.28% and Indian Overseas Bank fell 1.64%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 21.00% over last one year compared to the 12.53% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index increased 0.82% and Nifty IT index has dropped 0.73% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.37% to close at 12080.85 while the SENSEX has slid 0.37% to close at 41170.12 today.
