Quick Wrap: Nifty Realty Index declines 2.40%, NIFTY Tumbles 1.69%

Nifty Realty index ended down 2.40% at 229.3 today. The index is up 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, DLF Ltd slipped 5.42%, Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd fell 3.87% and Godrej Properties Ltd dropped 3.72%. The Nifty Realty index is down 27.00% over last one year compared to the 5.55% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index is down 2.24% and Nifty Energy index is down 2.13% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 1.69% to close at 10601.15 while the SENSEX is down 1.59% to close at 35312.13 today.
