Royal Orchid jumps on buzz it plans to sell land parcel in Mumbai

Royal Orchid Hotels rose 3.4% to Rs 38 at 11:56 IST on BSE on buzz the company plans to sell a land parcel in Mumbai for around Rs 65 crore.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 352.15 points or 1.25% at 27,759.68.

On BSE, so far 3,955 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 4,245 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 38.80 and a low of Rs 36.75 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 52.75 on 26 June 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 27.15 on 26 March 2014.

 

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 25 March 2015, sliding 9.59% compared with the Sensex's 3.09% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 9.03% as against Sensex's 3.32% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 27.23 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

On consolidated basis, Royal Orchid Hotels reported net loss of Rs 0.03 crore in Q3 December 2014, lower than net loss of Rs 19.19 crore in Q3 December 2013. Net sales rose 3.3% to Rs 39.93 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.

Royal Orchid Hotels operates 28 business and leisure hotels in 20 popular destinations.
