Wheels India clocked volume of 1.08 lakh shares by 13:49 IST on BSE, a 15.15-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 7,000 shares. The stock spurted 11.22% at Rs 1,070.80.
Jet Airways (India) notched up volume of 14.98 lakh shares, a 6.4-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 2.34 lakh shares. The stock surged 10.84% at Rs 234.25 on reports that the India's competition regulator has approved Etihad Airways' 50.1% stake buy in Jet Privilege, a customer loyalty programme unit of Jet Airways. On Wednesday, 5 February 2014, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) reportedly approved purchase of 50.1% stake in Jet Privilege (JPPL), Jet Airways' loyalty programme, by Etihad Airways PJSC.
Eicher Motors saw volume of 16,000 shares, a 5.12-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3,000 shares. The stock lost 0.75% at Rs 4,510.
Tata Communications clocked volume of 2.26 lakh shares, a 4.56-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 49,000 shares. The stock jumped 7.13% at Rs 295.30.
Tata Chemicals saw volume of 3.42 lakh shares, a 4-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 86,000 shares. The stock rose 0.61% at Rs 255.95.
