10 Haqqani militants killed in Afghanistan

At least 10 Haqqani militants were killed after Afghan forces struck their positions in Paktika province, the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

"On Monday evening, a top commander of the Haqqani terrorist network along with nine others were killed in a targeted airstrike," the ministry said in a statement.

The statement did not disclose the identity of the commander, Xinhua news agency reported.
