3 Gujarat Assembly by-polls on April 23

By-elections to Gujarat's three Assembly seats, including Rural, will be held on April 23 along with voting for state's 26 parliamentary seats, the announced here on Thursday.

"After taking into consideration various factors like festivals, electoral rolls and weather conditions, the Commission has decided to hold by-election to fill this vacancy," it said.

The notification for the by-elections will be issued on March 28 and the last date of nominations will be April 4. The last date for withdrawal of candidatures would be April 8, it said.
