Andavan Ashramam's chief dead

Srimad Andavan Ashramam's Jeeyar (head) Sri Ranga Ramanuja Maha Desikan, who was one of the main religious leaders for Vaishnavites, died at a private hospital in Chennai on Monday, said an official. He was 83.
"The Jeeyar passed away at the hospital. He was unwell for sometime. The final rites will be conducted at here on Tuesday," the official told IANS.
Temple town Srirangam is near Tiruchirappalli, 330 km from Chennai.
