Bengal appoint Patel as physio

Parthav Patel was on Friday appointed the physio of the Bengal cricket team for the upcoming domestic season.

Parthav was part of Gujarat's Ranji Trophy winning support staff this season and has been associated with the team for the last seven years.

The decision was made at the Cricket Association of Bengal's (CAB) coaches committee meeting.

"The term of his contract is not yet decided but today we roped him in. He has a lot of experience under his belt," a CAB official said.

Bengal reached the quarter-finals last season, finishing runners-up in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
