Bhilai Steel Plant registers impressive growth

Bhilai Steel Plant, the flagship unit of public sector Steel Authority of India Ltd, Saturday said it saw growth in production in three categories in April to January period in the current fiscal, enabling it to meet the yearly targets.

The plant registered growth of 2.6 percent, 1.6 percent and 2.1 percent over the corresponding period last year in cumulative hot metal, crude steel and saleable steel production, respectively, a statement said, adding it achieved its Annual Business Plan targets in these categories.
