Child dies as TV falls on him

In a freak incident, a three-year-old boy was killed when a television set fell on him at his home in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, his family said on Thursday.

Tias tugged at a stand fitted with coaster wheels on which the television set was kept at the family home in Vasanpota area on Wednesday night. The table tipped and the TV fell on the child, injuring him seriously the family said. He was declared dead in a hospital.
