Chinese referee's jail term reduced for good behaviour

A Chinese soccer referee jailed since 2010 for taking bribes has received a one-year reduction in his prison term for "good behaviour", a Beijing court said.
Lu, a former Chinese "Golden Whistle" who refereed in the 2002 World Cup finals, was sentenced to a five and half years term for accepting bribes totaling 810,000 yuan ($130,400), reports Xinhua.
The 55-year-old Lu Wednesday attended a sentence-review hearing in a courtroom in Yancheng prison in north China's Hebei province.
