Clash claims 15 lives in Afghanistan

At least 14 militants and a soldier were killed in a clash in the eastern Afghan province of Kunar on Saturday, the provincial government said.

"One soldier and 14 Taliban rebels have been killed as a clash erupted in Chapadara district of Kunar province on Saturday," Xinhua quoted the statement as saying.

Taliban militants who are active in parts of Kunar province are yet to comment on the incident.
